The Retired Ladies

These older females have earned a well deserved retirement in our pastures.  In most cases, their daughters are now carrying on their bloodlines and outstanding production.

 No Question

 Sire: *El Fuerte

 Dam: Notes

Knowing Notesme's excellent production record, we jumped at the opportunity to add her 3/4 sister to our herd.  No Question delivered a Spring, 09 female by LW Trouble Maker.  Although brown, her fleece has enough luster to shine from a distance.  Correct, straight, loads of presence, and great ears.

  Phileda

Sire: *Silverspirit

Dam: Chew Chew

This young lady redefines abundance of wool!  From day one she has displayed all the characteristics of having a great fleece, and it sits on top of a llama that is just as nice.  She recently had a silky dark female, Pheona, by Starr Alliance, a tall stretch girl who looks a whole lot like mother.  Phileda is now retired from our breeding program.

 Mayte

Sire: *The Condor

Dam: Misty Moon's Mea

Mayte is a large, stretchy female with some of the best bloodlines in the industry.  Her dam, Misty Moon's Mea, also produced the legendary herd sire Mashuga, owned by Danny Keller.  Mayte's first cria sold for $11,000 at the 2002 Celebrity to Frank and Janine Rotter.  Mayte's 2007 cria, SRLL Mephisto, won Reserve Grand Champion Suri at the 2008, Grand Nationals.  Mayte is bred to Pepper Moon, owned by Tom & Bob Parsons, for a Fall, 2010 cria, which turned out to be a lovely suri female.  Check out Maya - she is going to be awesome in the show ring.   Unfortunately, Mayte has been retired form our breeding program.  Such beautiful offspring - but, she just can't any more.

 Symphony

Sire: Silver Phantom

Dam: Ayri's Mariah

Our oldest dam and still going strong.  She consistently produced a strong, athletic, colorful cria.  Two of her sons placed in the Top Ten at the ALSA Grand Nationals. Her last cria is a stunning male cria Nostradamus by SWL Nordstrom. Symphony did a wonderful job of becoming foster mother to SRLL Contara, in fall of 2010.  Symphony is now retired from our breeding program.

 Chime One

Sire:  Macho Macho

Dam:  Silver Chime

A wonderful female from a long line of successful females. Grand dam to Kastizo, she carries some fantastic genetics.  Chime comes to Sugar River Llamas with a male Federale cria at side. Chant is big, robust, very masculine, and stretchy young boy, one of the last Federale males.  Chime herself carries forward some great genes on both sides.  Those old blood lines can't be forgotten.   Chime is now retired from our breeding program.

 Senorita Nadia

Sire: Senor Wenses

Dam: Seniorita Tanya

Dam to our first herd sire, SWL Nordstrom, we know that Nadia can produce. We have been looking at this girl for the last three years and finally got a chance to purchase her. Nadia has gave us SRLL Nymeria and some awesome grandaughters.  Nadia passed on to greener  pastures in May, 2014.

 Notesme

Sire: Whist                                             Top Ten (8th) 2000 Celebrity World Futurity
Dam: Notes                                    2003 Reserve National Champion Produce of Dam

Our dear Notesme passed away in August, 2011.   Notesme was a daughter of the 2004 National Grand and Reserve Champion Get-of-Sire, Whist, and out of a great Zorro PL daughter, Notes.  She had three incredible daughters, including Halter Champion Nottsberri and Halter Champion and Futurity winner Noticia.  Her 2009 cria is a well balanced, proportional male with presence and confidence, since day one. Check Nolo Contendre, who is now working for both our breeding program as well as Michelle Strupp's.

 Krinkles

Sire: Beau

Dam: Muna Kuy

Half sister to FS Muna's Muffy, Krinkles represents one of our best dam lines.  Her crias were always correct and stylish, and frequently strikingly colored.  Krinkles passed away in February, 2011.  She gave us some wonderful females, who continue in our keeper herd.

 Miss Felice

Sire: Menominee

Dam: Krinkles

Felice was the first cria we ever had on our farm, and so will always have a place in our hearts.  She is very correct, and she passes her great conformation onto her offspring.  Miss Felice gave us some outstanding offspring, such as Fez, Felicity, Felicia, Felix, and Fa`iz. Felice passed away in 2009, but we have retained Fa`iz in our keeper herd.

 Westland's Constellation

Sire: *Bolivian Jambalaya

Dam: *Bolivian Kelsey
Westland's Constellation, affectionately known as Connie, was brought to our herd from Wendell and Ileen Miller's 2007 sale.  Her daughter, MRS Cookies-n-Cream, a 2007 ALSA National Reserve Champion Medium Wool Female. Connie fits right in our herd, consistently delivering strong, healthy, 30 lb crias. She is such a good mother. Connie was bred back to Starr Alliance for a Spring, 2010 cria - see Contara.  Unfortunately, "Connie" passed away this past May, shortly after Contara's birth.

 Chew Chew

Sire: Camanchero

Dam: *Chi Chi PL

Originally from Patterson Llamas, this appy is out of Chi Chi - dam of the renowned Macho Macho.  She may not be the biggest girl on the farm, but she has the attitude to make up for it!  She has given us an outstanding female, Phileda, who has joined our keeper herd.  Chew Chew is now deceased - October 19, 2010.  We'll be missing "Grandma."

 Reina

Sire: Menominee

Dam: Krinkles

Reina passed away on November 23, 2010.  Full sister to Miss Felice, Reina was one of the biggest girls.  She was the second baby born on our farm, and became one of our producing females.  She took Grand Champion Female at the Central Wisconsin State Fair in 1999. Reina gave us a beautiful butterscotch female, SRLL Rhaenys by SWL Nordstrom.  Reina was one of Ali's first show llamas - until she came of breeding age.  She even did a wonderful job as a performance llama.
